i-ching

some kind of premonition

When I first heard Steve Reich I was seeing this weird dancer who was doing an art study in Paris. She showed me a video of ballerinas illuminated by spotlight and their two shadows formed a third dancer who was coming in and out of phase with their movements. I rolled the i-ching for the first time and got the one where fire is over water, which she said was very unnatural. We had spent the whole day traveling around the city to find a tattoo gun and going to the LV museum which we didn't even go into once we got there. Her dad was some chinese movie director but she never paid for anything. After an odd exit I peed on the garbage cans in the common area of her flat and then went to the wine man Henri down the street. His door is always half-shuttered and if you wave a lit cigarette underneath it he'll let you in. The wine is always good and he never understands what you are saying. Wet objects look different in Paris.
