the wet closet is a sacred space

i used to buy fresh eucalyptus every week to put in the shower. the bathroom is a place of transformation and safety. when you are married you go in there just to look at yourself and remember something. there was a checkout girl at the grocery store who i would chat to - she was just going to her first year of college for 3-D design. One time we walked a few blocks down the street together - maybe because we were headed the same way. she had terrible acne just like i did when i was her age
